Nature seems to have a major
influence upon me - it drives my creativity.
It is literally everything and yet it is transparent enough to allow us to
go about our daily lives almost as unnoticed as the air that we breathe. It
is complex beyond comprehension.
I believe that it is thru the arts that we can discover and re-discover life
and the nature that surrounds us.
Some of my paintings tend to have different and separate horizon lines that
tell small individual stories but together make up a greater, more complex
composition. Exactly like the world that surrounds us. And yet, no matter
how different we all are, we are all here in one amazing world - within one
profoundly amazing universe. Yet all we do is fight amongst ourselves.
What if all of the worlds governments put greed aside and became one. Stopped
the medical and technological suppression. Then concentrated on solving the
real issues?
Hunger. Pollution. Disease. Potential world wide chemical contamination and
nuclear war. To name just a few.
Acknowledging the beauty that surrounds us makes us think of these things
- Maybe that's why we're all still here. And just maybe there's hope for this
primitive, greed based and perversely violent species we call the human race.
