I have been creating unique sculptures since 1964 when I first learned the art of welding. I was fascinated with the idea of melting two pieces of metal together. After becoming comfortable with welding I began seeing different shapes in the scrap metal I was using for my welding refinement. I decided to use these pieces of metal with their unique shapes destine for the scrap pile and create art from them instead of using new materials. It's more of a challenge to use fixed shapes to create art without altering their shapes than to draw a print and fabricate the pieces.
My welding skills have lead me into different fields of work. I'm an accomplished
machinist and have been involved with building state of the art race cars
and motorcycles. Over the last 37+ years I have honed my skills to create
these stunning one of a kind art pieces. I have always believed that the finished
piece will demonstrate how much thought and effort was put into each work
of art.
