Artist Biography

I draw my inspiration from the extreme contrast and the bittersweet nature of beauty and death in every day life. Then I let the camera do it's work rather than interfering with the subject. The images I extract from my surroundings project surreal forms, an exuberance of colour and my own cluttered or uncluttered emotional status at that moment in time.

Origin of my Work
When I was a little boy I regularly escaped from the noisy quarrels my parents used to have for many years before they broke up. I used to lock myself up in the toilet, stare at the little blobs of paint and fantasize for hours about a whole regiment of fantasy creatures and other dream worlds.
This was later and still is a great inspiration for my work as an artist. It taught me to look at life from another angle and through my life experience I developed a trained eye for details.
Hopefully this can inspire you to see things different too.
