Angelika Mehrens
Artist Biography
Born and
raised in Germany, as Heike Angelika Mehrens, she has been painting since
the age of five.
Growing up in Europe has always been an inspiration for her Art today.
As an Art Major in school, she studied Graphic Design and Fashion in Madrid,
Spain, where she supported herself through acting, modeling, and painting.
However the fashion world and computers could not replace her passion for
the "rawness" of a canvas & color, hence the beginning of her
Art Career had started.
"My inspirations are mainly from: Nature , water, oceans, sky, sunsets,
different types of earth structures etc, and then just let the colors flow
and play..."
Recently she has been working on her new ART DECO series of abstract paintings,
which are all about movement, in many colors.
I paint with "my soul", sometimes Day and Night and "I believe
Art should communicate to the viewer"
Angelikas Art can be seen in several Galleries in Los Angeles, Private Collectors,
Art Exhibits, festivals, Hotels, Restaurants and online.
Her paintings have been seen in commercials & t.v. shows:

Universal - "Untitled Mentor Project"
she has
been a member of Artist for Human Rights since 2007
Angelika lives and works in Los Angeles from her home based Studio surrounded
by her husband and two children and two dogs.
